YOU SAVE ME

Friends From The Pen 3, WAS A BIG  SUCCESS.  Twenty dedicated inmates have trained and rehabilatated ten wonderful companion dogs, that have been released for good behavior on November 19th; eight of ten are now in a forever home, we have two that would like to come live with you NOW. Please help us continue the success by adopting one of the Friends From The Pen Dogs, and help us get the word out; and if you can, please donate to CARE-Net.

Thank You

All dogs have current vaccinations, spay or neuter, and eight weeks of obedience training. They are ready to be released into the arms of a forever family.

Please contact Roy Hayes at (928) 897-9494 for more information.

Mohave CARE-Net and Management and Training Corporation (MTC) have partnered to implement a Prison Dog Program at the Arizona Department of Correction State Prison - Kingman, AZ. This program saves lives of dogs at risk of euthanasia.

Working with professional animal trainer Roy Hayes, inmates live with and provide obedience training to dogs sponsored by participating shelters and rescue organizations. After eight weeks of training, dogs are available for adoption. Please consider meeting and falling in love with one of these fabulous Friends from the Pen!

FRIENDS FROM THE PEN 4
Here we go again. One last chance for these dogs to find redemption. They need your compassion, help and suport now.

Here we are at week 5, I can not believe the progress the Inmates and Dogs have made. All of the Dogs have become very well behaved, and have responded to the training with outstanding willingness, as though they have been waiting for the chance to be a Faithful Companion to a Family waiting for their arrival.

Available Right Now

Ryder, Boots and Brenna are available for Adoption RIGHT NOW, all have been professionally trained in the Friends From The Pen program. They can Sit, Down, Heel on and off leash and are well behaved. CARE-Net will provide FREE follow up TRAINING. Please call today. They need you now.

Our Friends From The Pen Alumni 2008

Today I attended the celebration of what Roy Hayes, ten prison inmates, and five dogs have accomplished in the last eight weeks.
I was overwhelmed.
With lumpy throat and watery eyes, I watched as the display just kept on coming and exceeding my imagination.

For the Luv of Paws and H.A.L.T. sponsored these dogs and happily reported that all five had been adopted.

For some true inspiration and renewal of faith in what's possible, I encourage each of you to attend one of these, (or more).
Just notify the prison at least a week ahead for clearance.

Take handkerchiefs.
